We live in a world full of variables and constant change. It is not possible to stop change or to build a life without change. The future, even the present, is uncertain. So how do we find our truth in the midst of these changes and uncertainties? How can we make doubt an effective tool in this world of uncertainty? How can we use doubt to ask the right questions?
Workshop 23
Workshop 23 is a unique process in which the 9 themes of 23 are experienced. In 23, in addition to academic development, personal development and the relationship with oneself and other people have a very important place. For this reason, Atölye 23 was designed to open up a space for development and discovery.
Each month at Atölye 23 has a specific theme. Within the framework of this theme, 23ers first have a physical experience involving sports or art. Then a sharing circle is formed. This circle includes a day of exercises, games and discussions designed in relation to the theme. 23ers discover themselves and others in the circle dynamic. Through all these, the 23ers aim to improve their ability to express, interpret and understand, to get closer to themselves and to meet with different views.
Workshop 23
In the Uncertainty & Suspicion Workshop, the 23ers discovered in nature how many uncertain moments exist in their lives. They experienced the opportunities that uncertainty brings and the intellectual richness of doubt. Throughout the workshop, they reviewed their individual approaches and gained new perspectives. By discussing the transformations caused by uncertainty and doubt in a sharing circle, they redefined the meaning of these concepts in their lives.
In this workshop, 23ers explored the role of courage and passion in their lives. They examined in depth how courage is not fearlessness, but taking action despite fears and how passion fuels this courage. Through group work and in-depth sharing, they experienced what it means to follow their passions by pushing their personal boundaries. Throughout the workshop, while exploring the different faces of courage, they discussed together the impact of passion on determining a "cause" in life.
In this workshop, 23ers experienced the concepts of balance and tranquility in both internal and environmental dimensions. While searching for ways to find individual balance, they deeply questioned the personal definitions of peace. Through group discussions and creative exercises, they re-evaluated both their inner and environmental balance. Throughout the workshop, while searching for ways to maintain personal peace, they examined together the role that the world of being is always in balance and how it plays a role in life.
In this workshop, 23ers explored both the individual and social dimensions of revolution. They analysed a sample story of revolution together and had the opportunity to discover these sample stories in the field. They discussed how social changes take place as well as internal transformations. Through group discussions and in-depth analyses, they evaluated how evolutionary processes relate to revolutionary outcomes. By travelling to the world of concepts, they focused on perseverance, patience, development and different processes in our lives that initiate transformations.
The 23ers embarked on a journey with curiosity in this workshop. They mirrored how they started their 23 adventures with curiosity. While questioning how curiosity can be a driving force, they learnt how to use it not as a means of dispersal but as a means of stepping into a new adventure. Through exercises accompanied by circle moderators, they awakened their dormant curiosities and examined the active ones in more depth. Throughout the workshop, they experienced the transformative power of questioning and discovery.
In this workshop, 23ers tried to paint, imagine and feel conscience. While questioning the relationship between reason, will, feelings and conscience, they explored the reasons underlying our orientations, the connection between human beings and society and the role of conscience in this context. Through group discussions and tasks, they evaluated what makes a person human and the conscientious processes behind choices and behaviours. Throughout the workshop, they developed new perspectives by discussing how conscience can be awakened and how it can be a guide in our lives.
